On Sunday 14th October, Helen was campaigning across Cumbria. She visited Penrith with her husband Steven to help with the campaign to elect Patricia Bell to Cumbria County Council. We wish retiring councillor Mike Ash the very best. The election is on Thursday 25th October and any help for Patricia and her team would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to make a special mention for our Hazel Grove Annual Constituency Dinner. The Dinner is taking place this year on Friday 9th November at Marple Golf Club, Hawk Green, Marple from 7pm. The event is always a very enjoyable occasion and our special guest speaker will be Jo Swinson M.P. The evening will be hosted by Andrew Stunell M.P. and Constituency Chair Peter Brook. It is always supported by our very own Mark Hunter M.P. for Cheadle, so there will be plenty of opportunity to chat to our parliamentarians in a relaxed setting - and of course I shall be there as usual - so please do come and join in. Helen has been busy meeting local members across the region. On Friday 12th October she attended the Rochdale Constituency Annual Dinner, which was held at Rochdale Town Hall. The evening was hosted by Paul Rowan M.P., with the guest speaker being Sir Menzies Campbell M.P., the final opportunity in the North West to hear him as our leader. Also supporting the event was our M.P. for Manchester Withington, John Leech. The warm candlelit atmosphere and super food was excellent and Helen enjoyed meeting so many old and new friends!
