Standing up for Bramhall North

Remembrance Day

12.00.00am GMT Tue 24th Nov 2009

Helen is able to confirm that at next year's Remembrance Day service in Bramhall there will be a total road closure in place during the entire service and not just the 2 minutes silence as this year.

Helen said, "Following this year's service, a number of people told me that the amount of traffic going past the service on Bramhall Lane South had made it impossible to hear the service and was not a fitting way to honour our war dead. I have therefore contacted the Council Officer responsible, and he has confirmed that a full road closure will be possible next year."

Helen, who laid the wreath on behalf of Cheadle Constituency MP Mark Hunter, said "It is fitting and proper that respect is given to this important occasion."
